A sterling silver signet ring inspired by ancient carvings and symbols. The signet ring is one of the earliest examples of jewelry dating all the way back to ancient Egypt and was often seen as a symbol of power.
Signum: Latin for signs or symbols.
This signet ring was created by hand carving the design in wax and then formed using the lost wax process. Its then filed, sandedm and polished. Lastly the carved design is then painted with a black oxide to bring out the details and give it an antique look. The face of the ring measures 4mm wide by 17mm long.
